Execution Panel EA: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install the Execution Panel EA? +

Download the .ex5 file from My Account → My EAs and paste it into MQL5 → Experts (File → Open Data Folder). Go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add https://license.elliottwaveinsight.co.uk. Drag the EA onto a chart, tick Allow Algo Trading on the Common tab and paste your licence key into Licence Key.

How do I set my risk per trade? +

Set Lot mode to Lot_RiskPercent and Risk % per trade to your risk (for example 1.0). You can also change the Risk% box on the panel before each trade. The lot size is worked out from your stop loss distance.

Which trades does the panel manage? +

Trades opened by the panel and manual trades (magic number 0) on the chart's symbol. Trades from other EAs are left alone unless you turn on Also manage other EAs' trades. Close All, Close ✚ and Close ✘ only close managed trades.

Partial closes are not firing. +

Check the status line on the panel. "No SL: partials off" means the trade had no stop loss, so there is no 1R to measure from. "skipped" means the partial would be smaller than your broker's minimum lot, which happens on very small positions. Also check Auto Partials is switched on.

Break even is not triggering. +

Turn on Auto BE on the panel. By default it moves the stop to entry plus 1 pip once price reaches 1R (Break even trigger mode and BE trigger inputs). It only ever tightens a stop, so if your stop is already past break even it is left where it is.

The panel says New trade blocked. +

The licence was not accepted, and the reason follows the message. Your open trades are still managed; only new trades are blocked. Copy the key again from My Account → My EAs. "Key is for a different EWI product" means you pasted the key from another EA's card.
